Not-for-Profit
Our experience in the Not-for-Profit sector
We have a strong presence in the not-for-profit sector. We have built up our presence in this sector, almost entirely through referrals. Our not-for-profit clients range from environmental legal entities, child and adult rehabilitation, disability, and local council/community services to emergency services.
We are often privy to legally sensitive and confidential information which we treat with respect and sensitivity. Our staff have undergone police checks, working with children and security clearance.

Changes to Privacy Laws and Regulatory Requirements in 2018 will affect the security IT requirements of Not For Profits
The Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017 (NDB scheme) was passed on 13 Feb 2017, as of 22 February 2018 all entities covered by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) must have clear obligations to report eligible data breaches.
APP entities
Agencies and organisations that already have obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 to secure personal information must comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
This includes Australian Government agencies, businesses and not-for-profit organisations that have an annual turnover of more than $3 million, private sector health service providers, credit reporting bodies, credit providers, entities that trade in personal information and tax file number recipients. However, some businesses of any size are APP entities, including businesses that trade in personal information and organisations that provide a health service to, and hold health information about, individuals.
The changing regulatory environment regards security will require increased reporting and improved audit trails. A&M Technology can help increase security for NFPs systems to prevent security breaches, improve the speed of reporting processes, and improve data storage and backup to speed up recovery of lost data through security attacks. For more information about APP entities, see Chapter B of the Australian Privacy Principle Guidelines (APP Guidelines).[2]
Fully managed IT support services for Charities and Not-for-profit organisations.
We understand the importance of efficiency for these organisations and always strive to find them cost savings wherever possible, using our knowledge of industry discounting/donations.
Much like private industries, not-for-profit also benefits from the use of mobile devices. This is an area of strength for us and we regularly provide support for staff in remote locations.
